Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency

In our six-year program, residents learn through challenging, hands-on experiences, including care for patients at a busy Level 1 Trauma Center.

Hands-on training through a broad spectrum of cases, including complex traumatic injuries

Offered in conjunction with the UofL School of Medicine, our advanced program combines a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery with a medical degree and postgraduate medical training needed for medical licensure.

The primary location for our program is the University of Louisville Hospital (a Level 1 Trauma Center), where residents have access to the latest technology, including digital imaging and virtual surgical planning. With an emphasis in autonomy, by their final year, residents are responsible for all or most of their procedures.

Residents also have access to the latest technology, including digital imaging and virtual surgical planning.
