Advanced Education in Orthodontics

With a focus on hands-on-training and interdisciplinary collaboration, our two-year program prepares graduates for a career delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

High-tech, hands-on dental specialty training in orthodontics

The orthodontics residency at ULSD is a two-year program consisting of coursework, clinical training and research. Graduates of the program receive a certificate and a MSD degree.

Residents in our orthodontics program receive advanced training in biomechanics, as well as growth and development of the face and head.

Since a majority of their time is spent in the clinic treating patients, residents gain valuable experience treating patients with all types of craniofacial anomalies. And throughout their residency, residents incorporate the latest in dental technology, including 3D CBCT, 3D facial scanning and 3D printing.
