Advanced Education in Endodontics

With an emphasis on hands-on clinical experience, evidence-based decision-making, and state-of-the-art technology, our two-year program prepares graduates for boards and beyond.

Hands-on, high-tech dental specialty training in surgical and nonsurgical endodontics

During their time in the program, residents spend more than half of their time in clinic. Typically they treat upwards of 300 patients, representing everything from simple to complex cases. The didactic portion of the program is structured to prepare the endodontic resident for examination by the American Board of Endodontics.

Another hallmark of the program is use of technology, which is extremely important in endodontics today. Because the radiology program is very strong at ULSD, endodontics residents have a lot of cone-beam CT units available to them, along with oral and maxillofacial radiologists to help in diagnosing these images.
